Hiring Booms at Syracuse and Ohio State

Hiring shifts during the pandemic often meant laying off faculty. The uncertainty it brought on led many schools and programs to cut costs and slash budgets wherever possible. So to see some schools bringing on more tenure-bound faculty members will come as a surprise to many. 

Ohio State and Syracuse are two universities looking to hire hundreds of professors to fit the needs of each school. These hires will look to aid both universities in their research and diversity goals.
